After being involved with CrossFit for about 4 years now, I think this type of critique is the type of hard and honest look that is needed for those still involved with CrossFit. What was once about health and wellness, and bringing a progressive and all inclusive strength and conditioning system to the masses, has sharply shifted to narrowly focusing on "elite fitness." Am I personally still behind CrossFit? Sure I am. Not all affiliates and coaches are part of the problem. Am I behind all of this "elite fitness" bullshit that drives so many affiliates to beat their clients into the ground? Not at all. But there will never be a shortage of people willing to make a buck off selling the idea to overweight and de-conditioned people that consistent "hardcore" metcon beatdowns are the only way to losing weight and getting into great shape. But of course, if this doesn't work for you, it's because you're making excuses and suck at life. For the people selling this lame ass rhetoric, their time is running out to cash in, because enough people have figured it out. For all of you guilt and negativity mongers attacking everything fitness related that isn't your small interpretation of what CrossFit is, it's time to grow up.
Ok, here's the deal. I had these ambitions of fighting a few pro MMA fights to do something with all the martial arts I've learned since I was a kid. Found that time spent in most MMA gyms in the area was a waste of time, but not all. Tried CrossFit to help in this effort, and that didn't quite work out. Got injured, and health took a huge dive. Injury recovered, but still struggling to get my health in order. Still figuring out what's next.

This is important
